SAFETY PRECAUTIONS & INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERS

There are several differences between aeroplanes and helicopters: most are fairly obvious! However, some, concerning your SAFETY are not quite so obvious

Passenger safety precautions which are taken in aeroplanes whilst they are moving both in the air and on the ground, are equally necessary in helicopters WHENEVER THE ROTORS ARE TURNING even when the aircraft is still on the ground.

YOUR SAFETY
  BEWARE OF ROTORS
Your line of approach, and departure should always be within the 'SAFE AREA' where the pilot can seen you. Please do not stand under or near the MAIN ROTOR BLADES. The TAIL ROTOR is particularly dangerous being difficult to see and close to the ground. Passengers are requested NOT to go to the baggage compartment. Please inform the pilot or ground crew if you have baggage to stow or remove.

SEAT BELTS
In a helicopter, it is advisable to keep your seat belt fastened at all times. Please ensure that it is TIGHTLY fastened prior to take-off and landing. After landing please keep your seat belt fastened until ready to disembark.

  DOORS
The pilot will always ensure that the doors are secure before take-off. Do not attempt to open them again until the helicopter has landed and then only with the pilots permission.

  WINDOWS
Do NOT put litter etc out of the windows, as damage to the aircraft may occur
