The establishment of Operations Divisions enables Heliquip to offer a complete helicopter management scheme to customers. Under this scheme Heliquip handles all licensing, hangaring, insurance and maintenance of aircraft. The corporate customer thus avoids the usual hassles associated with ownership, while retaining all benefits.

The client also knows at the start of each financial year what the costs will be. "If we exceed our stated budget, it is Heliquip which has to explain,".

The first management scheme was signed in the early 1970s and covered some of South Africa's major development projects. Aerospatiale/Eurocopter helicopters were used to move construction teams. Corporates realised that by relying on the services of an independent expert, its executives were assured that safety of its helicopters would not be compromised.

Under Heliquip's management scheme, corporate and private owners make the most of their expensive time. Heliquip has very experienced pilots on its team; some clients still employ their own crews.
